Guru Purnima Wishes

On Guru Purnima, disciples offer puja or pay respect to their Guru (Spiritual Guide). The Sanskrit root "Gu" means darkness or ignorance. "Ru" denotes the remover of that darkness. Therefore one who removes darkness of our ignorance is a Guru.
